Hofmann, an industry leader in performance test equipment, boasts yet another first. The new ‘DynaPOWER BOX’ is the first self-contained dynamometer on the market!
Designed to overcome the environmental concerns of placing a performance ‘Dyno’ in or around a busy workshop, the ‘DynaPOWER BOX’ is in essence a 4WD dyno built into a weather proof cabin with it’s own sound-proofing, exhaust extraction and cooling fans. All the customer needs to supply is an IP65 plug and a flat piece of tarmac. So no costly civil works or sound proofing and potentially no planning issues.
Chris Pleass, Hofmann’s UK sales manager commented “We recently took some of our customers to German factory to view a range of new products. The one that caught everyone’s imagination was certainly the ‘DynaPOWER BOX’. While it’s not exactly ‘mobile’ due to its size, I can certainly see potential for one to be transported around racing circuits or special track events. And since it’s not permanent, planning permission should be easier”
The ‘DynaPOWER BOX’ is worth seeing in the flesh but briefly it consists of:
- 4WD dynamometer unit
- Weather proof cabin with side and front doors plus viewing window
- Exhaust extraction system
- High volume blower
- Compressor
