Visualiner 3D Arago™ comes without a fixed height boom supporting the two alignment cameras.

To this date the camera boom was considered an indispensable component, preventing, however, the so-called drive-through solution as required for instance for installation in test lanes or in an industrial environment. Three self-synchronising cameras are the John Bean approach to this field of application.

Without camera boom and without camera lift the Visualiner 3D can be used for a variety of new applications. Two aluminium support poles located right and left of the work place form the frame where three cameras are automatically raised or lowered. While one camera is permanently watching the second camera (virtual camera boom), immediately correcting the least vertical deviation, the two alignment cameras are directed to the targets on the vehicle. As soon as the vehicle is raised or lowered on the lift, the cameras follow vehicle movement so that live readings are available on the monitor at any time and at any working level.

The Visualiner 3D2 stands for reliable wheel alignment and premium design quality. Not only does it add to the professional appearance of your workshop, but it also improves productivity and performance levels.


Employing the 3D digital imaging technology the Visualiner 3D2 measures the vehicle’s alignment in 3 dimensional space, thereby delivering absolute and more accurate data than conventional alignment systems. Measuring the vehicle’s alignment in 3D also removes the dependence on the lift as an alignment reference plane.


Thanks to the intuitive user-friendly software the alignment process flows automatically guiding the operator with clear instructions and easy-to-understand colour graphics. The operator’s intervention is required only for simple data inputs.


Visualiner 3D2 does not require conventional run-out compensation, therefore no jacking of the vehicle is required. Instead a simple time-saving operation called vehicle positioning is performed where the vehicle is rolled a short distance backwards and then forward.


Visualiner 3D2 aligns a car quicker than conventional alignment systems. The operator only has to enter some basic data, mount the four targets to the wheels, perform vehicle positioning and caster swing to get complete alignment readings within minutes.


Visualiner 3D2 has the most flexible and shortest positioning distance among aligners world-wide, which increases its flexibility and reduces investment into sophisticated expensive lifts.
Live graphic displays are shown when making adjustments on the vehicle, therefore eliminating the need for the time-consuming switching between screens.

The new John Bean wheel aligners offer to the user a completely new measurement technology on infrared basis with CCD sensors. This technology increases the useful toe measurement range to +/- 25°. The sensors for caster and SAI were equally redesigned, now extending the measurement range to +/- 15°, all the while being insensitive to interference of up to 100g. The wheel units consist of an aluminium skeleton, an adaptor stud supported in ball bearings and two half shells made of impact resistant plastic.

The software is the well accepted PRO32 premium software, including all known John Bean programs and all special OEM routines. Calibration to the work place is also kept as a part of the John Bean philosophy in that a wheel aligner is always only as accurate as it has the reference to the work place!
