1931 |
The company, Gebrüder Hofmann OHG, is formed by Dyonis and Roman Hofmann in Darmstadt, Germany. |
| 1934 | Hofmann opens it first overseas subsidiary - in the United Kingdom of course! |
| 1949 | Hofmann develops the first mechanical wheel balancer automotive workshops. |
| 1960 | The highly successful brekon® series of brake testers is added to the Hofmann product range. |
| 1963 | The geodyna series of wheel balancers are launched into the market. The name consists of geo for geometric wheel data and dyna for dynamic measurement in two planes. Geometric wheel data entry is patented by Hofmann worldwide. |
| 1980 | Hofmann launch an electronic wheel alignment system to complete the product range. |
| 1997 | Hofmann joins the Snap-on corporation, the world’s largest automotive tools & equipment company. |
| 1998 | Hofmann launches the easymont Pro™, a revolutionary pneumatic helper arm to enable one-man fitting of low profile tyres. |
| 2004 | The geodyna optima, the first fully automatic wheel balancer with advanced anti-vibration diagnostics capabilities, is launched at automechanika show. |
